Randall Franks, beloved as “Officer Randy Goode” from In the Heat of the Night, is a versatile talent with a rich legacy in entertainment and inspiration. A former NBC and CBS actor, he’s starred in three series and 18 films, including The Cricket’s Dance and The American’s Creed, earning numerous awards. An International Bluegrass Hall of Fame Legend and Grand Ole Opry guest star, Franks has topped charts—his song “God’s Children” hit #1 on Cashbox—and garnered accolades across bluegrass, country, and gospel genres. As a producer, vocalist, or musician playing fiddle, mandolin, guitar or mountain dulcimer, Franks has contributed to the legacies on stage or in studio with close to 40 Rock and Roll, Country, Bluegrass and Gospel Music Hall of Famers. As an award-winning author of 12 books, including Southern Crossing: Ithaca’s Legacy and Seeing Faith: A Devotional, and a syndicated columnist, he uplifts millions weekly in the South and Midwest.
