I grew up in Fort Wayne, IN and learned about music by playing around town with my friends and listening to the old guard. Later, I moved to Los Angeles to study popular music with Patrice Rushen, Paul Jackson Jr., Alphonso Johnson and more as an early admit at the University of Southern California's Popular Music program. After a couple years there, I dropped out of school and moved to Nashville where I've been performing, recording, and writing.
