Description:
I show up for those who can't, to share healing with those who still can. I'm a songwriter, a singer, a guitar picker, and a veteran.
Resume / Bio:
When Brooks Herring steps on stage, you don’t just hear the music — you feel it. Known for his high-energy acoustic shows and electrifying full-band performances, Brooks turns every set into a shared experience. His blend of country, alt-rock, and blues hits that rare sweet spot between grit and vulnerability, delivering truth through every lyric and note.
Born and raised in Conway, South Carolina, and now based in Nashville, Tennessee, Brooks is an award-winning songwriter, recording artist, and U.S. Navy veteran whose journey defines resilience. His music carries the honesty of his Southern roots and the weight of his service, resonating with anyone who’s lived, lost, or fought for something they believe in.
Brooks’ breakout single “Why Me” first revealed his gift for emotional storytelling, the kind that pulls you in and doesn’t let go. His 2024 album, Not Country, pushed boundaries and proved that real artistry lives beyond labels. With his 2025 release, “How to Fix a Broken Heart,” Brooks opened the door even wider, sharing a raw look at pain, hope, and healing that fans still feel long after the song ends.
Off stage, Brooks’ purpose runs just as deep. With a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of South Carolina and Bachelor in Songwriting from Belmont University, he combines discipline, compassion, and craft in everything he does. A proud advocate for veterans recovering from combat trauma, he dedicates time off stage to supporting nonprofit causes close to his heart and mentoring young songwriters.
Whether he’s playing a small-town stage or lighting up a festival crowd, Brooks Herring gives everything he’s got - turning every show into a story worth remembering.
Book Brooks Herring for your next event or listen to his latest releases and discover a voice that doesn’t just perform… it connects.
